We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack DevSecOps Engineer to join an Internal Developer Experience team focused on building a modern, secure, and AI-enabled Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

The platform is centered around Backstage, serving as the main developer portal. In this role, you will extend the platform with custom plugins, golden paths, automation, and AI-powered workflows that improve developer productivity and reduce cognitive load across engineering teams.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about platform engineering, developer experience (DX), DevSecOps, full-stack development, and applying AI in real-world engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Build & Evolve the Developer Platform

• Develop and maintain custom Backstage plugins, templates, catalog configurations, and UI extensions

• Integrate golden path workflows (CI/CD templates, IaC, security patterns)

• Improve usability, discoverability, and consistency across developer workflows

Advance Developer Experience with AI

• Integrate LLM-based assistants and AI-powered tools into the developer portal

• Build solutions using embeddings, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and internal knowledge search

• Enable AI-assisted onboarding, documentation, troubleshooting, and service scaffolding

Full-Stack & Platform Engineering

• Build backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python

• Develop UI components with React and Backstage frameworks

• Integrate with cloud platforms, identity providers, CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and deployment systems

DevSecOps & Security Enablement

• Embed secure-by-default standards into software templates

• Integrate security automation (SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM, policy-as-code) into developer workflows

• Implement governance and guardrails through platform policies and plugins

Collaboration & Adoption

• Collaborate with platform, cloud, security, and engineering teams

• Drive adoption through demos, documentation, and technical guidance

• Act as a subject matter expert for Backstage and developer experience tooling

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Backstage (custom plugins, templates, software catalog)

• Full-stack development using TypeScript, Node.js, and React

• Solid DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, GitOps, build & release automation)

• Experience with Kubernetes / container platforms (AKS, OpenShift, or similar)

• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible)

• Strong scripting skills

AI & Automation (Highly Valued)

• Experience or strong interest in:

  • LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI / Azure OpenAI)

  • Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Vector databases and embeddings

  • RAG pipelines and knowledge retrieval

  • AI-assisted developer tooling

Security & Governance

• Understanding of identity, RBAC, secrets management, and software supply-chain security

• Experience embedding security and compliance policies into developer workflows
