Information Architect (Senior Professional)
Lead the next generation of connected-vehicle data platforms with an inclusive, collaborative approach — design scalable data architectures and enable self-service insights and observability.
About the Role
Within Research & Development under Product & Quality, you will be a key contributor to shaping the next generation of outstanding connected vehicles. Together with engineers around the world, you will help create innovative, human-centric technology that makes life simpler and more enjoyable.
Infotainment is one of the fastest-growing areas in mobility technology. Competition today comes not only from traditional OEMs, but also from innovative, fast-moving technology companies. The organization has successfully launched cutting-edge driver interaction and infotainment solutions and remains committed to continuous innovation.
This role sits within the Infotainment Software Factory. The team “opens the window” into the software factory—making its inner workings visible and actionable. Through monitoring and visualization of CI/CD, environments, and products, raw data is turned into stories that engineering teams can act on.
As a Data Architect, you will work together with other teams and architects to design and build the next generation of CI/CD and engineering data solutions.
This is a senior professional role involving leadership of major, technically complex initiatives with significant business impact across departments. It requires broad and deep expertise gained through long professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the ConX engineering data product end-to-end
Define canonical domain models and metric semantics
Design scalable, event-driven data architectures
Enable observability and feedback loops across the full software lifecycle
Ensure data quality, reliability, and trust
Establish data governance, security, and access models
Enable self-service analytics and data-driven decision making
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in designing large-scale data or software systems
5–10 years of experience across software engineering, DevOps/platform engineering, and data engineering, with hands-on exposure to software delivery and production systems
2–5 years of experience in technical leadership or architectural roles, leading design decisions across CI/CD, back-end development, engineering data platforms, or data domains
Proven experience designing and evolving data architectures that enable scalable, self-service access to engineering and product data for diverse users
Strong expertise in data modeling and pipeline architecture, including:
Event-driven ingestion
Canonical domain modeling
Transformation layers for analytical use
Experience with CI/CD and observability ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK), with the ability to abstract tool-specific data into consistent, tool-agnostic models
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reason about complex systems, trade-offs, and data-driven decisions at scale
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders
