We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in modern, cloud-native software development across the CNCF ecosystem. You will help build and evolve a complex, production-grade product that acts as a centralized control plane for infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll work closely with platform, infrastructure, and developer experience teams to design and operate scalable, secure, and highly observable systems in demanding enterprise environments. Experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience (DevEx) teams is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native backend services and platform components

• Build and operate Kubernetes-based systems in large-scale production environments

• Develop custom Kubernetes operators and controllers in Go

• Design and maintain GitOps workflows using Argo CD

• Implement infrastructure abstraction using Crossplane (compositions & functions)

• Integrate and evolve internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage)

• Ensure high levels of reliability, scalability, security, and observability

• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and DevEx teams across the organization

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Kubernetes – Strong hands-on production experience

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes APIs, controllers, and extensibility

• Go (Golang) – Strong hands-on development of backend services, APIs, and controllers

• Kubernetes Operator Development – Design, build, and maintain custom operators

• Crossplane – Composition design and custom function development

• GitOps & Argo CD – Production-grade GitOps workflows

• Backstage – Strong understanding of the system model and integrations

• Observability – Hands-on experience with metrics, logs, and traces (Grafana Cloud or similar)

• Cloud Platforms – Strong experience with Microsoft Azure

• Enterprise Operations – Operating large-scale, mission-critical systems

• Product Development – Experience contributing to complex, production-grade platforms

Good-to-Have

• Experience with AWS or OpenShift

• Developer Experience (DevEx) or internal platform tooling background

• Secrets management (e.g., Vault or cloud-native solutions)

• Experience with Upbound or enterprise Crossplane ecosystems

• Prior work in Platform Engineering teams
