Position description
Are you passionate about product safety? Are you interested to work with Safety requirements for marine products? You appreciate a workplace where trust, integrity & respect are not only important, but also practiced at the same time as having fun at work?
Do you;
• have previous experience from working within product compliance within Marine Commercial segment
• have been involved in working with Class Societies for Marine Classification
• have a structured way of working with experience from working cross functionally.

In this exiting position you will be present at different stages of planning and product development that are affected by safety requirements. Firstly, through interpreting them and helping projects to implement targets and requirements. Then in the later stage, follow-up if the targets and requirements have been achieved. Within the Marine Commercial segment it includes working with the Class Societies to achieve Type Approvals and Safety/Compliance on current and future products.
Since interaction with both external and internal contacts are crucial for achieving good results, good networking and communication skills are of high importance. As Product Safety Compliance Engineer at PSC a strategic mind and ability to set targets are essential.

Core responsibilities
Within areas of Product Safety Compliance:
• Safety compliance for D16, D4/D6, Propellers and SCR
• Secure regulatory safety requirements in Project description
• Secure safety compliance of products
• Safety certification process with focus on type approval
• Coordinate & lead qualification of VP to manufacture without survey
• Maintain and update Classification Manual and generic safety requirements
• Educate the VP organization on marine requirements, Compliance C-marking and PIL case assistance
• Leading compliance maintenance to secure compliance over time for all client products
• Main interface to Purchasing for Supplier certificates compliance
• Leading the PSC department’s Continuous Improvement / Operational Development work
• Leading audits by Class Societies and Internal audits
