Senior Systems Engineer – C4I
As a Senior Systems Engineer – C4I, you will be responsible for the development of advanced systems involving software, sensor integration, and communication systems. You will define system characteristics and architecture to ensure successful project execution.
You will play a key role in leading system reviews, defining validation and integration strategies, and guiding cross-functional teams including system engineers, test engineers, and software developers.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cross-disciplinary systems by collaborating with multiple functional teams
Define system architecture and system properties to ensure scalability and long-term adaptability
Provide technical leadership to software development teams
Design secure and maintainable software architectures and design patterns
Lead and participate in system reviews, including:
Requirements
Architecture
System safety
Information security
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear, measurable, and traceable requirements throughout the system lifecycle
Lead system verification, integration, and validation activities
Define and drive test processes to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
Lead and mentor system engineers, test engineers, and development teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
Several years of experience in systems engineering and cross-functional environments
Strong understanding of:
Software design
System integration
Technical leadership within development teams
Experience with:
Agile methodologies
DevSecOps practices
CI/CD pipelines
Solid knowledge of complex systems, especially:
Real-time systems
Safety-critical environments
Professional proficiency in English and Swedish
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience in the defense industry as a systems engineer
Background in research and development (R&D) projects
Experience with:
C4I systems (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence)
Radio communication systems
Networking technologies
