About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineering Analyst with experience in passive safety and CAE simulation to support vehicle safety development activities. In this role, you will work with pedestrian protection and interior head impact analysis to ensure compliance with global safety regulations and internal requirements.

You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and testing teams to perform simulations, analyze results, and recommend design improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CAE simulations related to pedestrian passive safety.

• Conduct interior head injury and free-motion head (FMH) analysis according to FMVSS 201U.

• Build and modify finite element models using LS-DYNA.

• Analyze simulation results and provide recommendations for design optimization.

• Support physical verification and correlation activities.

• Work with CAD data to prepare and update simulation models.

• Document findings and present technical conclusions to stakeholders.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in passive safety CAE analysis.

• Strong knowledge of pedestrian passive safety regulations and verification methods.

• Experience with interior head injury and free-motion head (FMH) analysis (FMVSS 201U).

• Hands-on experience with LS-DYNA.

• Good CAD knowledge.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience correlating CAE results with physical testing.

• Data analysis and post-processing skills.

• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools is an advantage.

• Experience from the automotive industry.
