CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE ENGINEER
We are currently looking for an Experienced Certification & Compliance Engineer to join a global engineering organization working with emission compliance and certification maintenance for diesel engine products.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with worldwide emission regulations during the product maintenance phase. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, production sites, aftermarket teams, and authorities across multiple regions to support certification activities, reporting, product changes, and compliance documentation.
This role requires a structured and proactive individual who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality and delivery precision.
Key Responsibilities
Support and coordinate emission compliance activities related to certified products
Handle authority reporting and prepare documentation required to maintain emission certificates
Review and manage product change requests from an emission compliance perspective
Approve or reject product changes based on regulatory and certification requirements
Develop and maintain emission labels and related documentation
Coordinate with production sites to ensure labeling and compliance requirements are fulfilled
Support campaign coordination activities and follow up on regulatory actions
Handle customer and aftermarket requests related to compliance labels and documentation
Maintain and update guidance documents related to engine import requirements and regulations
Stay updated on global emission legislation and regulatory changes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education
Experience working with emission compliance, certification, or regulatory engineering
Good understanding of diesel engines and emission systems
Knowledge of global emission legislation and compliance requirements
Experience working with technical documentation and reporting processes
Strong communication and networking skills
Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
Structured and detail-oriented way of working
Fluent in Swedish and English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with regulatory authorities
Knowledge of product change management processes
Experience with labeling systems and compliance documentation
Familiarity with KOLA or similar engineering/documentation systems
Experience from automotive, marine, industrial, or heavy vehicle industries
