Senior 1D CAE Engineer
We are currently looking for a highly skilled Senior 1D CAE Engineer to join an advanced vehicle energy consumption and performance engineering team. In this role, you will work with simulation-driven development to optimize vehicle efficiency, energy consumption, and dynamic performance across multiple powertrain configurations.
You will perform simulations, develop models, analyze system behavior, and support validation activities at component, system, and complete vehicle level. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities
Perform simulations and analysis for vehicle energy consumption and performance.
Develop and maintain 1D CAE models for vehicle systems and powertrain configurations.
Simulate and evaluate EV, HEV, and conventional ICE vehicle performance.
Balance energy efficiency, fuel consumption, and dynamic vehicle performance targets.
Analyze vehicle longitudinal dynamics and energy management strategies.
Support concept-phase studies and vehicle architecture evaluations.
Collaborate with system engineers to optimize control strategies based on simulation data.
Execute and support physical testing activities for model validation and vehicle performance verification.
Communicate simulation results and technical findings to stakeholders and development teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methodologies and engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics, Energy Systems, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive CAE engineering.
Strong experience in:
Full-vehicle simulation
Vehicle range and performance analysis
Energy consumption and energy balance studies
Vehicle performance optimization
Hands-on experience with:
GT-Suite
MATLAB/Simulink
1D CAE simulation tools
Good understanding of:
EV and HEV operating modes
Battery systems
Vehicle energy management
Vehicle longitudinal dynamics
Experience evaluating vehicle architectures and powertrain trade-offs.
Ability to analyze and communicate CAE and physical test results effectively.
Knowledge of global automotive testing standards such as:
WLTC
CLTC
GreenNCAP
AMS
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluent English communication skills.
