Description of the Assignment

The consultant should be responsible for the Anti-corrosion development and operation of European projects. Goal setting, decomposition, and achievement of vehicle anti-corrosion targets.

Project Deliveries

Responsible for the development of vehicle corrosion resistance, encompassing routine project deliverables such as the selection of suitable protection measurements for the body-in-white and chassis parts. The definition of salt spray indicators for components and the verification of vehicle corrosion resistance. Support the vehicle tests, and the rectification of issues.

Overall corrosion risk control, which will require collaborative efforts across different departments, including attributes, body and chassis for different vehicle models.

Capacity Building

Research on European environment, regulations, and user demands, benchmarking against European competitors, investigation of the market performance of own product, and support for solving corrosion issues in the mass-produced vehicle market.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Role

• Long experience in vehicle anti-corrosion technology at automotive company, having participated in at least two complete global projects.

• Familiar with elements of global vehicle anti-corrosion development (including research and development, manufacturing, transportation, etc.).

• Senior-level reporting skills.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Chinese is advantageous.
