Radar & LiDAR Integration Consultant
Job Description:
We are looking for Radar & LiDAR Integration Consultants to join the Radar & LiDAR Integration Unit.
Insights from the Team
You will join a unit consisting of three teams responsible for Radar and LiDAR integration, providing a reliable sensor data flow that enables high-quality AD/ADAS software.
Radar Integration Team
The Radar Integration team develops:
Radar data forwarding solutions (Radar Server, DFPs)
Radar administration software
Data translation for simulation and DL training (Radar Log Quality Check)
Radar data quality checks (Data Quality Nexus)
The team also participates in the design of radar software.
LiDAR Integration Team
The LiDAR Integration team develops the next-generation LiDAR-based ground-truth roofbox, a state-of-the-art reference system platform used for training the DL2 network.
The team:
Evaluates sensor performance
Owns the complete data path from sensor to vigem (logger)
Decodes raw sensor data for ingestion into the data pipeline
The mission is to provide accurate reference data for training and validation while ensuring a high standard of data quality.
Your Mission & Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Software Developer within the Radar/LiDAR Integration Unit, your work will be a dynamic blend of embedded software development, data handling, and collaboration with the wider AD/ADAS organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining sensor data forwarding, administration, and decoding software
Designing and improving data quality checks across the sensor data flow
Analyzing sensor data and contributing to the design of Radar and LiDAR software
Collaborating with sensor suppliers, perception, simulation, and DL training teams
Automating builds, tests, and data evaluations within CI/CD environments
What's in It for You
Influence product direction in a dynamic industry with a life-saving mission
Work on the critical interface between physical sensors and the AD/ADAS software stack
Shape your role based on your competencies and interests across the Radar and LiDAR teams
Opportunities for both deep technical contribution and broader architectural reasoning
Work in a global environment with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Flexible hybrid work setup based at the Lindholmen office in Gothenburg, with an expectation of three days per week onsite
Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for someone whose motivation speaks louder than experience. Your commitment to crafting solutions that truly matter is what sets you apart. You care deeply about the end product and understand that the quality of the sensor data flow defines what the AD/ADAS system can achieve.
You are a problem-solver, a team player, and equally comfortable working independently or driving initiatives forward together with others.
Essential Experience
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field
Advanced C++ development experience
Python for tooling, scripting, and sensor data analysis
Experience working with sensor data, including Radar, LiDAR, or comparable sensor domains (sensor fusion experience is highly valued)
Solid working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Git
Experience with AUTOSAR, Automotive Ethernet, and PDU-based communication, or experience with data pipelines and large-scale sensor data handling
Nice to Have
Experience with Bazel or similar large-scale build systems
Experience leveraging Agentic AI tools in development workflows
Vehicle testing and sensor diagnostics experience
Familiarity with ISO 26262 and functional safety principles
Background in AD/ADAS development
PostgreSQL or other database/data pipeline experience
Experience with simulation environments and DL training data preparation
Swedish Driving License (Category B) is a strong advantage
Profile
Strong problem-solving skills and team-oriented mindset
Collaborative, independent, and proactive approach to work
Broad expertise and curiosity across embedded software, data, and sensor domains
Open to both Medior and Senior-level candidates
