Automotive Saddler / Trimmer 🚗

We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Saddler / Trimmer to join a leading automotive design and development environment in Gothenburg, Sweden.

About the Role

As a Saddler / Trimmer, you will play a key role in creating and refining premium interior trim components, transforming design concepts into high-quality physical prototypes and show vehicles. You will collaborate closely with designers, modelers, and engineering teams to ensure exceptional craftsmanship, fit, finish, and design intent.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and refine premium interior trim components using leather, fabrics, and advanced materials.

• Develop patterns and build interior prototype parts for design reviews and show vehicles.

• Perform trimming, upholstery, and assembly work to a high-quality standard.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design development activities.

• Ensure excellent fit, finish, and craftsmanship across all prototype builds.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop methods, materials, and processes.

Required Experience & Skills

✔ Proven hands-on experience as an Automotive Saddler / Trimmer
✔ Experience working within an OEM design studio, prototype workshop, or premium automotive environment
✔ Strong background in prototype and show vehicle construction
✔ Experience using specialist trimming tools, sewing machines, and workshop equipment
✔ High attention to detail and commitment to quality
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve build and feasibility challenges
✔ Effective collaboration and communication skills

Technical Skills

• Microsoft 365

• LightBurn laser cutting software

• CATIA (knowledge of automotive design environments is advantageous)

• Teamcenter experience is beneficial
