About the Team
The team works with Configuration Management (CM) strategies that impact the entire Engineering organization, as well as software development to automate CM-related areas and checks, particularly within the CI/CD flow chain. One example is automated software traceability from complete baseline level down to software component level.
The team is responsible for:
Configuration Management for software development and software master baselines
Cross-organizational software branching strategy and governance
Cross-organizational software traceability strategy
Change management processes
Compliance documentation for SUMS, including application development to support it
Document storage structures
Supporting engineering teams in all the above areas
What You Will Do
We are looking for a qualified Configuration Manager.

Lead Configuration Management activities across a large organization
Develop and deploy processes and systems within the Configuration Management domain
Drive automation initiatives within Configuration Management, including AI-enabled solutions
Collaborate with and support the Engineering community on CM-related topics

Required Competencies
Documented experience within the Configuration Management domain
Experience managing software traceability in large-scale projects
Experience with version control processes and hands-on experience with Git; Gerrit is preferred
Experience managing Change Management processes
Experience capturing business needs and translating them into operational requirements for IT systems
Experience working with automation
Knowledge of requirement management processes
Knowledge of technical documentation standards and processes
Ability to translate business needs into requirements for IT systems within the PLM domain
Experience defining and managing branching strategies for large projects
Comfortable exploring and understanding new technical domains
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Strong quality assurance mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the automotive industry
Knowledge of KDP, CarWeaver, CoMo, Artifactory, ConfigHub, and/or Teamcenter PLM
Knowledge of product structures and configuration management tools
Knowledge of Change Order Management processes
Knowledge of Product Configuration processes
Understanding of how process and tool changes impact engineers' daily work
Strong ability to manage large volumes of information and multiple tasks
Previous experience in automotive product development organizations
Knowledge of product and release management processes
