Physical Build Project Manager
We are seeking a Physical Build Project Manager to support planning, coordination, execution, and follow-up of prototype build and test activities within automotive product development projects.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams, project managers, manufacturing engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure that physical prototype vehicles, test objects, and associated parts are delivered according to project requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
You will be responsible for coordinating physical build activities, monitoring progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment between project plans and available test objects throughout the development lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a structured way of working, and an interest in coordinating complex engineering activities in a dynamic development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and follow up on prototype build activities within product development projects.
Ensure availability of physical test objects, prototype vehicles, and required parts according to project milestones.
Coordinate activities between engineering teams, project stakeholders, and manufacturing engineering functions.
Support project teams in securing build readiness and test object availability.
Build & Test Management
Lead and organize physical build activities according to project requirements and schedules.
Monitor build status and proactively identify risks, deviations, or bottlenecks.
Ensure build activities are executed according to agreed plans and quality requirements.
Support planning and execution of vehicle and component testing activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with:
Product Development Teams
Manufacturing Engineering
Prototype Build Organizations
Test & Verification Teams
Project Managers
Facilitate communication and alignment between stakeholders throughout the build process.
Provide regular status updates and reporting to project teams.
Follow-up & Reporting
Track project progress, build status, and delivery performance.
Maintain project documentation and status reporting.
Support issue resolution and escalation when necessary.
Contribute to continuous improvement of build planning and coordination processes.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.

2–5 years of relevant experience in:
Project Coordination
Automotive Product Development
Manufacturing Engineering

Experience working in cross-functional project environments.
