Position Overview
Carries out, directs and is responsible for specialized work and assignments of a moderate to large commercial and/or technically complex nature – with impact on a team or department. Requires the theoretical understanding of concepts underlying a professional discipline as well as solid professional experience within own domain.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with the company's needs for future technologies and concepts.
Assume ownership and management of the supply base, ensuring the presence of financially sound and competent suppliers with an optimal footprint that supports sustainability.
Strategically plan and execute supplier selections in close collaboration with the category team and stakeholders.
Ensure the accuracy, completion, and timely storage of contracts.
Guarantee the fulfillment of all purchasing deliveries prior to each program milestone.
Collaborate extensively within the category team and with stakeholders to ensure supplier capability, capacity, quality, and timely deliveries.
Proactively drive suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize ongoing business by identifying and implementing opportunities for commercial, technical, and supply chain cost savings.
Actively seek ways to optimize the ongoing business's supply base while effectively assessing and managing associated risks.

Job Description
We are looking for a Buyer – Direct Materials to join our client within the automotive industry for their Closure, Glass & Sealings unit.
Key Responsibilities

Role Overview
The Category Buyer secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs by participating in and executing Commodity Business Plans, while maintaining a clear understanding of business demands and the supplier market.
Main Responsibilities
Have a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow, and added-value improvements.
Anchor and execute Commodity Business Plans, e.g., identifying and leading key programs to achieve cost saving targets and setting supplier base portfolio based on market and business needs.
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers within the area.
Together with stakeholders, prepare and effectuate RFI/RFQ within the area.
Conduct market, supplier, and spend analysis to stay on top of the area and perform strategic sourcing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
University degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area.
A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
Solid negotiation, commercial, and contractual track record.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Professional experience in multi sourcing.
