Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and adaptable data architecture solutions that enable reliable access to high-quality, consistent data across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define enterprise data architecture standards, and ensure that data platforms support business objectives, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture that supports current and future business needs.
Establish secure, scalable, and adaptable data environments to ensure reliable and authorized access to high-quality data.
Define and implement data models, data integration strategies, data governance standards, and architecture best practices.
Partner with multiple project and product delivery teams to provide data architecture leadership throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, data engineers, and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
Ensure data consistency, integrity, security, availability, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.
Evaluate existing data ecosystems and recommend improvements to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
Define standards for data storage, data integration, metadata management, and master data management.
Support cloud and hybrid data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
Review solution designs and provide architectural guidance to ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
Identify technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in data architecture practices.
Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data architecture and data management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Architect, Enterprise Data Architect, or similar role.
Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and database design.
Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and data integration solutions.
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lakes.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and security principles.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in an Agile environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, or BigQuery.
Knowledge of data integration tools and streaming technologies.
Familiarity with DataOps, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications are an advantage.
