Telematics Integration & System Test Engineer (Connected Vehicles)
Are you passionate about connected vehicles, telematics, and end-to-end system validation? We are looking for a Telematics Integration & System Test Engineer for our client to join an international engineering team developing next-generation connected vehicle services.
What You'll Do
As part of a cross-functional integration team, you will validate telematics services across backend systems, vehicle platforms, and mobile applications, ensuring reliable end-to-end functionality.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform joint integration and End-to-End (E2E) testing of connected vehicle and telematics services.
Validate interactions between backend microservices, vehicle ECUs (TCU/TCAM/IVI), and iOS/Android mobile applications.
Execute integration test scenarios covering features such as:
Remote Commands
Vehicle Status
OTA Updates
eCall
Remote Diagnostics
Investigate system behavior, communication flows, and data consistency across distributed systems.
Analyze backend logs and troubleshoot complex integration issues using log management and monitoring tools.
Verify APIs, messaging flows, and communication protocols.
Work closely with backend developers, mobile application teams, and vehicle software engineers to resolve cross-functional issues.
Prepare test reports, validation documentation, and release quality assessments.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in system integration testing, system validation, or telematics testing within the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of connected vehicle architecture and interaction between:
TSP Backend
TCU / TCAM
In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)
Mobile Applications
Experience with SQL databases for data verification and troubleshooting.
Experience investigating backend logs and distributed system issues.
Good understanding of networking and communication protocols such as:
TCP/IP
HTTP/HTTPS
MQTT
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, or curl.
Familiarity with ELK Stack, Kibana, Splunk, or similar log analysis tools.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile, cross-functional, international teams.
Fluent in English.
