We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a team building a strategic B2B API Platform that enables secure external data monetization. The platform will provide scalable APIs and cloud-native services for external customers, fleet operators, insurance providers, charging companies, and other third-party partners across Europe.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs while contributing to the overall solution architecture, cloud infrastructure, and integration strategy. You will work closely with architects, product owners, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud services primarily on AWS, with integrations across Azure and potentially Alibaba Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Backend & API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and REST APIs for a cloud-based B2B platform.

• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs for external customers and business partners.

• Develop platform services supporting authentication, authorization, tenant management, subscriptions, entitlement, metering, billing, and monitoring.

• Implement secure OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Solution Architecture & Cloud Engineering

• Contribute to solution architecture, API contracts, service boundaries, and integration patterns.

• Design scalable cloud-native solutions primarily on AWS.

• Support integrations across AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to expose data products securely through APIs.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud environments.

• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and health checks.

• Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.

Software Quality

• Ensure software quality through unit, integration, API, and regression testing.

• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Document APIs, architecture, technical decisions, and workflows.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers.

• Support external partner onboarding and technical integrations.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional planning.

• Take ownership of technical solutions from design through deployment and production support.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Backend Development, or Platform Engineering.

• Strong experience designing and building backend systems, REST APIs, and microservices.

• Experience with distributed systems and API architecture.

• Experience working throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
