Product Documentation Engineer (Manufacturing Engineering)
Are you passionate about manufacturing engineering, product documentation, and automotive production? We're looking for a Product Documentation Engineer to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and continuous improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage production engineering activities for new vehicle projects and ongoing product changes.
Participate in cross-functional product development projects, ensuring manufacturing requirements are integrated throughout the development process.
Prepare engineering change requests and coordinate procurement of new tools and production equipment.
Develop and improve production methods, manufacturing processes, and material solutions.
Support prototype/C-build activities and create production and assembly documentation.
Plan, implement, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ÄO).
Collaborate closely with production, manufacturing leaders, engineering, and product development teams.
Investigate and communicate product-related issues while following up on corrective actions.
Provide technical support to production for product-related concerns.
Drive process optimization, quality improvements, and Direct-OK initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement and process development.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure production readiness.
Maintain and update engineering data and documentation in relevant systems.
Assembly Documentation Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain:
Production method descriptions
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Time studies and analysis
Technical illustrations
Quality requirements
Special tools and fixture documentation
Manage assembly instructions for production structures.
Define documentation structure and content according to engineering standards.
Ensure quality and implementation of engineering change documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Product Documentation within the automotive industry.
Strong product knowledge and experience supporting manufacturing operations.
Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN/ÄO) and change implementation processes.
Experience with assembly documentation, production documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
Experience creating production methods, material solutions, and process documentation.
Familiarity with prototype/C-build activities.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive activities independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Continuous improvement mindset with experience in quality and process optimization.
Strong systems experience, preferably with:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
