We are looking for a passionate CMF (Color, Material & Finish) Designer to join an exciting automotive development project in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What You'll Do

• Develop CMF concepts from early design through production

• Create complete CMF proposals including colors, materials, finishes, quilting, perforation, and texture patterns

• Transform design strategies into production-ready solutions

• Collaborate with designers, engineers, visualization specialists, modelers, trimmers, painters, and suppliers

• Support development of exterior paints, soft trims, decorative materials, and innovative sustainable solutions

• Produce high-quality visual presentations, renders, and storytelling materials

• Present CMF proposals to stakeholders and support cross-functional decision-making

• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or related field

• 2-5 years of CMF experience, preferably within automotive industry

• Proven experience delivering production-ready CMF programs

• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams

• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Competence

• Strong creative vision and CMF storytelling capabilityAbility to independently lead CMF programs

• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing feasibility

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Ability to create high-quality renders in VRED or BlenderFamiliarity with Rhino or Blender is a plus

• Knowledge of generative AI tools is an advantage

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
