We are looking for an Off-Board Diagnostic Engineer to join a dynamic automotive engineering team supporting vehicle diagnostic development and information management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain diagnostic information for new vehicle models.

• Create and manage Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) information, parameters, calibrations, and component tests.

• Prepare supporting pictures, technical content, and documentation.

• Gather vehicle and diagnostic information from local teams and technical sources.

• Act as a technical translator between English and Chinese.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to investigate and validate diagnostic information.

Requirements

• Based in China.

• Previous experience in vehicle diagnostics.

• Fluent in English and Chinese.

• Willingness and ability to travel to Hangzhou Bay when required.

• Basic knowledge of ISO 14229 (UDS).

• General understanding of vehicle systems, vehicle operation, and fault-tracing processes.

• Experience with the backend side of vehicle diagnostic systems, preferably:

  • GNDP (Geely New Diagnostic Platform)

  • Carcom

  • Codiac / Context

  • DSA or similar diagnostic systems.
