ADAS Regulation & Homologation Engineer
We are looking for an ADAS Regulatory & Homologation Engineer to join a dynamic automotive engineering team supporting the development, validation, regulatory compliance, and homologation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for the European market.
You will work at the intersection of engineering, safety, and regulation, influencing function design decisions, validation strategies, and homologation outcomes for current and future ADAS and automated driving functions.
Key Responsibilities
Interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements for ADAS development teams.
Providing guidance on the design and evolution of ADAS functions and features to ensure regulatory compliance across the entire product lifecycle.
Reviewing verification and validation (V&V) and test strategies, including KPI definitions and assessments, in alignment with regulatory and safety expectations.
Leading and supporting homologation activities, including preparation of technical documentation, approval dossiers, and on-site support during homologation testing with the approval authority.
Monitoring regulatory developments (e.g. UNECE, EU regulations, and other ADAS/ADS-related updates) and proactively assessing their impact on ADAS roadmaps and designs.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum 3–5 years working with ADAS or automated driving systems in an OEM, Tier 1, or technical service environment.
Strong knowledge of Euro NCAP and ADAS relevant regulations, such as EU 2019/2144 GSR, UNECE R79, R171, R157, and related EU regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience in homologation processes, including interaction with approval authorities and technical services.
Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and safety case thinking.
Willingness and flexibility to travel for extended periods (typically a few weeks and up to one month) to support homologation activities on-site.
Swedish Driver License is mandatory.
Knowledge of CANalyzer, CANoe, DSA, and SystemWeaver.
IT / Software Requirements
Experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, DSA, and SystemWeaver.
