We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Governance & EU AI Act Compliance Specialist to join our client's Data Governance & Data Compliance team. In this strategic role, you will help ensure that Artificial Intelligence initiatives across the organization comply with the EU AI Act and other relevant data regulations while supporting responsible AI adoption throughout the product development lifecycle.

You will work closely with stakeholders across legal, engineering, data, cybersecurity, purchasing, manufacturing, and business functions to establish governance frameworks, assess compliance risks, and ensure AI systems are developed and deployed in accordance with regulatory and ethical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance & Compliance

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization's AI Governance Framework aligned with the EU AI Act.

• Develop, maintain, and improve AI compliance policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.

• Assess AI solutions and machine learning systems against EU AI Act requirements and risk classifications.

• Support AI risk assessments throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Ensure AI systems meet requirements related to transparency, explainability, traceability, human oversight, and risk management.

• Establish governance processes for monitoring AI compliance across business functions.

Regulatory & Risk Management

• Interpret and apply the EU AI Act and other applicable AI and data regulations to automotive products and internal AI solutions.

• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations and product development.

• Provide regulatory guidance to engineering, product, and business teams.

• Support internal compliance reviews and readiness assessments.

• Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Assist with internal and external audits related to AI governance and regulatory compliance.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Legal, Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Data Governance, Cybersecurity, and Quality teams.

• Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical engineering and business requirements.

• Support AI governance during product development, sourcing, and manufacturing activities.

• Participate in strategic discussions regarding responsible AI implementation across the organization.

Change Management & Training

• Develop and deliver AI governance awareness and compliance training.

• Promote responsible AI practices throughout the organization.

• Support organizational change initiatives related to AI governance and regulatory compliance.

• Build stakeholder engagement across multiple organizational levels.

• Drive adoption of governance processes through effective communication and collaboration.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain AI governance documentation, compliance evidence, and process documentation.

• Develop governance templates, checklists, and assessment methodologies.

• Prepare compliance reports and executive presentations.

• Support continuous improvement of governance frameworks and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in:

• Experience working within complex global organizations.

• Experience implementing governance frameworks and compliance programs.

• Strong understanding of AI technologies and machine learning concepts.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting AI systems.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments involving engineering and legal stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
