Senior NVH Test Engineer – Vehicle Testing
We are looking for an experienced Senior NVH Test Engineer with strong expertise in Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) testing and vehicle verification. The role is suited for a senior professional who can take ownership of feature, function, and field testing activities and translate technical requirements into effective test strategies.
You will work across simulation, rig testing, and physical vehicle testing, supporting the development and verification of new technologies and transport solutions. The role also involves test method development, technical reporting, fault management, and mentoring less experienced engineers.
Role
As a Senior NVH Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and analysing tests across vehicle features, functions, and field environments.
You will define verification criteria and test requirements, develop test plans and methods, analyse results, provide technical recommendations, and ensure that test results are clearly documented and communicated to relevant engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Test & Verification Management
Define verification criteria for vehicle features, functions, and field testing.
Translate technical requirements into clear and effective test requirements.
Plan, prepare, manage, and execute physical and virtual testing.
Coordinate testing using simulation, test rigs, and physical vehicles.
Create detailed test plans, schedules, and test strategies.
Analyse test results and provide technical recommendations.
Identify verification needs for new technologies and transport solutions.
Manage test-related risks, issues, and dependencies.
Feature Testing
Perform physical and virtual testing of vehicle features.
Conduct performance and fuel consumption measurements or calculations.
Perform testing related to wind resistance and soiling.
Conduct climate testing and durability testing.
Perform NVH and noise testing.
Evaluate test results against defined technical requirements and targets.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant professional experience.
Strong and proven NVH experience is mandatory.
Experience with physical vehicle testing.
Experience with test rigs and simulation/virtual testing.
Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Experience defining verification criteria and test requirements.
Experience developing or maintaining test methods.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
Valid Category B driving licence is mandatory.
Category C driving licence is an advantage.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
