Test Cell Engineer / Test Cell Operator
We are looking for an experienced Test Cell Engineer / Test Cell Operator to join an exciting engineering assignment in Gothenburg. The role focuses on test cell operations, test setup, test execution, troubleshooting, and automation systems within an automotive or powertrain testing environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in test cells and a strong technical understanding of AVL PUMA, powertrain systems, and test methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and manage test cell equipment and systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Set up, prepare, configure, and execute various tests according to test specifications and procedures.
Work with AVL PUMA and other test automation and measurement systems.
Perform test preparation, instrumentation, data acquisition, and system configuration.
Monitor test execution and ensure reliable and accurate test results.
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues during testing.
Support automation of test processes and contribute to improving test efficiency.
Document test results, deviations, issues, and corrective actions.
Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other cross-functional teams.
Ensure that all testing activities are performed according to safety, quality, and engineering standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Previous professional experience as a Test Cell Engineer, Test Cell Operator, Test Engineer, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with test cell operations and test setup.
Experience with AVL PUMA is highly desirable.
Experience in preparing, configuring, and running engineering tests.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of transmissions, electric motors, gearboxes, and/or diesel engines.
Experience with test automation, measurement systems, or data acquisition is an advantage.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a technical team environment.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Skills
Experience from the automotive or powertrain industry.
Knowledge of test automation and control systems.
Experience with measurement and data acquisition systems.
Understanding of powertrain testing, validation, and verification.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
Safety-conscious approach to working in a test cell environment.
