We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Operations to lead and deliver multiple complex projects within an industrial manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving cross-functional initiatives across production, manufacturing engineering, quality, logistics, purchasing, maintenance, product development, and management to ensure successful project execution.
You will play a key role in establishing project governance, managing risks, resources, schedules, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver multiple complex industrial and manufacturing projects simultaneously.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, governance structures, and execution strategies.
Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resources, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across:
Production
Manufacturing Engineering
Quality
Logistics
Purchasing
Maintenance
Product Development
Operations Management
Drive decision-making and ensure agreed actions are executed according to project plans.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports, recommendations, and decision material to senior management.
Resolve project obstacles and remove execution bottlenecks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Manage project scope, priorities, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional workshops.
Ensure effective communication between local and global stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of project management methodologies, governance, and operational ways of working.
Support organizational change management and implementation of operational improvements.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading projects within:
Manufacturing
Industrial Operations
Engineering
Automotive
Production
Technical organizations
Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
Experience working in cross-functional and matrix organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience with production planning, industrialization, commissioning, or process optimization.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
Experience managing suppliers and external partners.
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent) is considered an advantage.
