Function & ECU Developer
Assignment Description
The Vehicle Electronics & Software team is responsible for function, system, and component development within Body, LV, HV, Comfort, and Climate. The team is looking to strengthen its capabilities within Body Controls by adding an experienced Function & ECU Developer.
Previous experience working within a Geely-related organization is considered an advantage. Experience working with Body Controllers is required.
In this assignment, you will work with both body function development and ECU ownership for a Body Controller. The role includes defining, maintaining, and following up functional and ECU-related requirements, ensuring supplier deliveries comply with agreed specifications, processes, and standards, and supporting the complete development lifecycle from concept through verification and validation.
You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, IT, external suppliers, and international stakeholders. Acting as the technical interface for the Body Controller, you will support body function integration, follow up software and system issues, and contribute to testing, verification, and validation activities.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and maintain body control concepts, functional specifications, and requirements.
Act as ECU owner and technical interface for a Body Controller, including:
Requirement alignment
Supplier follow-up
Release coordination
Issue handling
Review and follow up software and system issues using issue tracking systems such as SWIM.
Drive technical discussions with suppliers and ensure implementation according to agreed specifications, processes, and standards.
Support integration, testing, verification, and validation activities for body functions and the Body Controller.
Cooperate with international stakeholders across engineering teams, brands, and suppliers.
Contribute to innovation and adaptation of vehicle functions for European markets.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience within the automotive industry.
Experience with automotive electrical systems, electrical architecture, and/or software development.
Knowledge of ECU development and/or software development processes.
Knowledge of automotive best practices, standards, and regulations.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with ECU development within the Geely organization is considered an advantage.
