System Engineer / Diagnostic Designer-Tester

Required Experience

  • Experience with embedded systems

  • Experience in software and hardware design for embedded systems

  • Diagnostics standards (ISO14229, SAE-J2012, SAE-1979)

  • Reliable diagnostic monitor design

  • Define datapoints used for backend analysis and/or predictive maintenance

  • Define control routines to support testing and workshop verification

  • Author software requirements according to ASPICE (SYS and SWE)

  • Structure, create and maintain DTCs and related data, including configuration of UDS services for subsystems

  • Experience with test tools such as:

    • CANalyzer

    • CANoe

    • Parallel Diag

    • DSA

  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols:

    • Ethernet

    • CAN

    • LIN

    • UDS

    • XCP

  • Hands-on testing and fault injection in vehicles and HIL rigs

  • Experience reading software code

  • HIL testing

  • Wireshark

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Python

  • DLT Viewer

  • Basic knowledge of UDS

  • Linux and/or WSL

  • Swedish Driving License (Category B)

Preferred Experience

  • AUTOSAR and POSIX environment

  • Aftermarket usage of on-board diagnostics

  • Emission-related monitor design

  • Knowledge of OBD

  • Volvo T2 License

Education

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
