Senior Logistics Engineer – Projects & Investigations
We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Engineer – Projects & Investigations to support the development and implementation of efficient material flows and logistics solutions within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on optimizing logistics processes, material handling, plant layouts, automation, and continuous improvement using Lean principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and improve internal and external logistics and material-flow processes using Lean manufacturing principles
• Develop strategies to reduce waste, optimize processes, solve operational challenges, and lower logistics costs
• Develop and implement future material-handling and logistics-flow solutions
• Conduct investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments supporting plant development and master planning
• Evaluate impacts related to cost, investment, staffing, layout, and material flow
• Provide logistics input and documentation for project gates and project decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations
• Support logistics automation and digitalization initiatives
• Collaborate with production, logistics, engineering, project management, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Coordinate with international teams to develop common and scalable logistics solutions
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant experience within logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Strong experience in material supply, material handling, and logistics flows
• Proven project management experience, including project structures and budgeting
• Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, problem solving, and continuous improvement
• Experience or strong interest in logistics automation
• Ability to lead improvement initiatives and drive organizational change
• Experience working with relevant IS/IT tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a holistic approach
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing capabilities
• Proficiency in Swedish and English
Meritorious
• University or college degree in Logistics Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with Industry 4.0, digitalization, automation, or emerging manufacturing technologies
• Previous experience from automotive or large-scale manufacturing environments
