Senior Geometrical Assurance Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Geometrical Assurance Engineer to support and coordinate geometrical assurance, geometrical integration, and CAD packaging activities within a complex product development environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Geometrical Assurance Engineering (GAE), CAD integration, packaging, design reviews, and product development processes who enjoys working across international and cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a central expert for GAE methods, guidelines, tools, and review requirements
• Support engineering and design teams in applying geometrical assurance principles consistently
• Coordinate and facilitate DCN review activities, including review and approval of GAE-related content during product release processes
• Collaborate with international CAD packaging and review teams
• Support geometrical assurance and integration activities across development projects, maintenance changes, and critical product deliveries
• Ensure geometrical solutions are aligned with project roadmaps, time plans, platform conditions, and technical requirements
• Coordinate external packaging resources and establish priorities, requirements, and working guidelines
• Support CAD context updates and handling of IP-protected CAD models
• Contribute as a specialist within CAx-related forums and engineering communities
• Drive continuous improvement of GAE/CAD packaging processes, methods, tools, and ways of working
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong experience in Geometrical Assurance Engineering (GAE) or geometrical architecture/integration
• Solid experience with CAD, CAD packaging, and geometrical integration in complex products
• Experience supporting engineering design and product development teams
• Understanding of engineering change and product release processes
• Experience coordinating technical reviews and working with multiple engineering stakeholders
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into robust geometrical solutions
• Strong cross-functional and international collaboration skills
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical topics
Meritorious
• Experience from the automotive, commercial vehicle, marine, or powertrain industry
• Experience with DCN/change management and CAD release processes
• Knowledge of CAx processes, CAD context management, packaging reviews, and product lifecycle management
• Previous experience coordinating external engineering or CAD teams
