Lead Engineer – Hardware Release & Configuration
We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – Hardware Release & Configuration to join an automotive R&D organization in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The team develops advanced vehicle connectivity products and services, enabling connected customer experiences across modern vehicle platforms. In this role, you will be a key driver for hardware release, configuration management, supplier coordination, and production readiness, ensuring that hardware components and associated documentation are delivered according to project milestones.
You will work in an international, cross-functional environment involving engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, aftermarket, purchasing, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Release & Configuration
Drive HW signing and hardware releases according to project milestones.
Release HW Part Numbers and technical documentation for each release milestone.
Participate in and coordinate Design Reviews.
Ensure alignment between KDP, TCPLM and TcE.
Facilitate hardware release approvals, deviations, and related documentation.
Maintain structured and traceable hardware configuration throughout the development lifecycle.
Supplier Management
Coordinate supplier hardware release planning.
Manage and follow up the supplier HW backlog.
Monitor supplier hardware deliveries against agreed plans and milestones.
Follow up QOP and financial topics.
Coordinate and participate in Supplier Hardware Joint Reviews (HWJR).
Work closely with global suppliers to resolve delivery and release-related issues.
Factory & Aftermarket Support
Support manufacturing/factory and aftermarket organizations with hardware-related deviations.
Support hardware releases required for production.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve hardware configuration and release issues
We are looking for a structured, proactive and solution-oriented engineer with experience in automotive product development. You are comfortable taking ownership of complex topics and driving activities where the solution or outcome may not initially be clear.
You preferably have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly relevant:

You should have strong organizational skills and enjoy creating structure, planning activities, following up deliveries, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
