We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Feature Leader to lead the implementation and integration of a grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), including Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Plant Controllers (PPC), industrial networks, DSO interfaces, and aggregator platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project lifecycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, governance, reporting, and change control.

• Coordinate stakeholders across BESS, EMS/PPC, cybersecurity, industrial networks, DSO, aggregator, and site operations.

• Manage technical interfaces between BMS, PCS/inverters, EMS/PPC, DSO systems, metering, and aggregator platforms.

• Lead requirements breakdown, traceability, acceptance criteria, design reviews, and technical decision-making.

• Coordinate EMS/PPC functionality covering state-of-charge management, active/reactive power control, frequency response, ramp-rate limits, curtailment, alarms, and fallback behavior.

• Coordinate DSO and aggregator submissions, witness testing, operational trials, approvals, and issue resolution.

• Oversee industrial network implementation, including VLANs, routing, redundancy, firewalls, time synchronization, and secure remote access.

• Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, grid-compliance, cybersecurity, integrated, and performance testing.

• Manage deviations, defects, corrective actions, retesting, documentation, and final acceptance.

• Ensure complete operational handover, including procedures, configurations, backups, documentation, and training materials.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience, with recognized expertise in the discipline.

• Strong experience managing complex power, automation, energy, or control-system projects.

• Practical knowledge of grid-connected BESS, EMS/PPC, PCS/inverters, BMS, metering, protection, power quality, and grid-support functions.

• Proven experience with requirements management, verification, validation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.

• Experience working with a DSO, TSO, utility, grid owner, aggregator, flexibility provider, or energy-market platform.

• Experience with end-to-end integration involving cloud platforms, industrial networks, firewalls, EMS/PPC, BESS, and grid interfaces.

• Strong understanding of operating limits, setpoint priorities, response times, communication-loss behavior, availability, and cybersecurity.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary suppliers and technical stakeholders.

Knowledge or experience within ancillary services, flexibility markets, reserve services, balancing markets, or energy trading platforms is highly valued.
