We are looking for a curious, committed, and solution-oriented Senior Test & Integration Engineer to join a team working with advanced autonomous and tele-operated vehicle systems.

In this role, you will work hands-on with software integration, vehicle testing, verification, fault tracing, data logging, and operation of modern test facilities. You will gain broad exposure to complete autonomous vehicle systems while collaborating closely with software developers and other engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate new software into autonomous and tele-operated vehicles.

• Verify software compatibility and troubleshoot issues together with developers.

• Define, prepare, and validate test environments.

• Integrate, verify, and validate electrical and vehicle systems against expected system behavior.

• Perform vehicle/system testing according to defined test scopes, plans, and requirements.

• Use Linux, CANalyzer, and other engineering tools for integration, testing, data logging, and fault tracing.

• Analyze test results, identify deviations, troubleshoot problems, and draw technical conclusions.

• Resolve issues identified during integration and verification.

• Operate advanced test facilities, including day-to-day test-site activities.

• Secure system quality and readiness before release.

• Take operational responsibility for team deliveries and ensure agreed inputs and outputs are achieved.

• Collaborate closely with developers and other engineering stakeholders.

• Support junior engineers and peers through coaching and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods, processes, and team competence.

Required Competence

• 5+ years of relevant experience in testing, integration, verification, vehicle systems, robotics, embedded systems, or a related engineering field.

• Hands-on experience with Linux, including basic BASH commands/functions.

• Experience with CANalyzer or similar CAN/vehicle-network analysis tools.

• Understanding of connectivity concepts such as:

  • LAN

  • Wi-Fi

  • 4G/5G

  • Vehicle/network communication

• Understanding of fundamental robotics concepts, such as:

  • Localization

  • Perception

  • Planning

• Basic understanding of vehicles, machines, electrical systems, and system behavior.

• Experience with system integration, verification, validation, fault tracing, and test-result analysis.

• Ability to work independently within defined test scopes and take responsibility for day-to-day technical delivery.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working closely with software developers and engineering teams.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, autonomous machines, robotics, or tele-operated systems.

• Automotive, commercial vehicle, heavy-equipment, or off-highway machinery experience.

• Experience with vehicle data logging and CAN communication.

• Experience operating vehicle or system-level test environments.

• C or CE driving licence.

• Experience coaching or supporting junior engineers.
