About the assignment

We are looking for an experienced Information Architect / Business Architect for a consultant assignment where you take a key role in connecting information, business needs and architecture within the Swedish electricity grid industry.

The assignment has two main focus areas:

• Establishing a common grid model: Take part in and drive the work of structuring, defining and establishing a unified grid model for the business.

• Information architecture for Procurement: Map and clarify the information domain, data flows and structure around the procurement process for a subsidiary.

In both areas you are expected to analyse actively, ask the relevant questions and challenge the existing landscape from a holistic perspective that covers information, process, organisation and technology.

Your role

• Map, model and document information flows, concepts and domain models

• Challenge and develop existing structures by identifying bottlenecks and synergies across information, processes, organisation and systems

• Analyse and structure complex information relationships between business systems, processes and concepts

• Act as a bridge between business needs, information management and technical implementation or IT architecture

• Lead workshops and dialogues with domain experts, project managers and system owners

Industry and business knowledge

• Solid knowledge of the Swedish electricity industry in general and the grid business in particular

• Deep understanding of the full grid lifecycle, from design and planning to documentation and daily operations

• Understanding of information exchange and interfaces with other grid owners and the TSO (Svenska kraftnät)

Architecture, information management and change

• Long experience as an Information Architect, Business Architect or Enterprise Architect in complex environments

• A holistic view and the ability to understand how information management, capabilities, processes and IT systems work together, with the courage and ability to challenge existing solutions and ways of working

• Documented ability to quickly get to grips with complex information structures and dependencies and break them down

• Communicative and pedagogical, able to explain and visualise information architecture for management, business and technical teams
