Product Cyber Security-Associate
We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect – Associate to join the Cyber Security team and support the development of secure system-level concepts and architectures across current, future, and legacy products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cyber security professional to build practical experience in product security, system architecture, security risk analysis, and secure design within a complex automotive/industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support cyber security risk analysis and contribute to identifying security risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
Assist in developing system-level cyber security concepts and designs for current, future, and legacy products.
Collaborate with Security Architects, Product Architects, System Leaders, and development teams to develop secure architecture concepts.
Apply fundamental knowledge of cyber security and secure design principles at product and system architecture levels.
Identify design approaches that enable:
Secure reuse of existing assets and solutions.
Cost-effective security implementation.
Risk optimization and reduction.
Scalable and maintainable security architectures.
Support the analysis and reverse engineering of complex system architectures where required.
Identify potential technical solutions for cyber security risk mitigation.
Translate security risks and architectural decisions into clear security requirements.
Document security concepts, architectural decisions, risks, and requirements.
Support the breakdown of high-level security requirements into detailed requirements for security engineers and software/hardware development teams.
Participate in architecture and security reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of security practices.
Work under guidance and supervision while progressively taking ownership of assigned activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years of relevant experience in cyber security, system engineering, software engineering, embedded systems, or a related technical area.
Basic understanding of:
Cyber security principles and threat/risk analysis.
Secure system and software design.
System and product architecture.
Security requirements engineering.
Risk mitigation concepts.
Ability to understand and analyze complex technical architectures.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to document technical concepts and requirements clearly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and work with experienced architects and engineers.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
Good to Have
Familiarity with TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment) or similar security risk-analysis methodologies.
Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156, or automotive cyber security practices.
Exposure to embedded systems, automotive systems, connected vehicles, or IoT.
Understanding of network security, authentication, encryption, secure communication, or access control.
Experience with system architecture or modelling tools.
Basic knowledge of security engineering lifecycle and secure development practices.
