We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Platform Architect to lead a development team and take overall technical responsibility for a modern cloud-based platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the platform's technical architecture, establishing development standards, and driving the technical roadmap to ensure the platform meets business and customer expectations.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), combined with technical leadership and architectural decision-making capabilities.

You will also monitor emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI (GenAI) and analytics platforms, to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the development team, providing technical direction and architectural leadership.

• Take overall technical ownership of the platform, including architecture, design, development, and continuous improvement.

• Define and maintain the technical framework, development standards, and architectural principles.

• Develop and manage the technical roadmap for application and platform development.

• Ensure that the platform evolves in line with business requirements, customer expectations, and technology developments.

• Design and oversee scalable backend solutions using Python and FastAPI.

• Provide architectural guidance for data processing and database solutions involving BigQuery and PostgreSQL.

• Support platform development and integration within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Monitor developments in Generative AI, data analytics, and cloud platforms to maintain a modern and competitive technical solution.

• Coordinate technical decisions and dependencies across development teams, solution architects, and integration teams.

• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and guide the team toward effective solutions.

• Ensure high standards of technical quality, maintainability, reliability, and performance.

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience in technical leadership and leading software development teams.

• Strong experience in software architecture and platform architecture.

• Excellent programming skills in Python.

• Hands-on experience developing backend applications using FastAPI.

• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience with BigQuery and data-driven application development.

• Ability to define technical frameworks, architectural standards, and development roadmaps.

• Experience making technical decisions and coordinating across multiple development teams.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

Preferred / Meritorious Skills

• Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) platforms and emerging AI technologies.

• Experience with data analytics platforms and cloud-based data solutions.

• Experience modernizing and continuously improving enterprise platforms.
