We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and AWS to join our team and contribute to the development of a connected mobility and digital services platform.

In this role, you will design, develop and evolve scalable backend services that integrate vehicle data, EV charging networks, service providers and customer systems. You will work closely with engineers, architects, product stakeholders and external partners to transform evolving product requirements into reliable, secure and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and applications using Python on AWS.

• Build scalable APIs and integrations connecting vehicle data, EV charging networks, service providers and customer platforms.

• Translate product requirements and partner use cases into practical technical solutions.

• Contribute to system architecture, API design, data flows and security strategies.

• Develop and maintain REST APIs, microservices and cloud-based applications.

• Implement automated testing, code reviews and software quality practices.

• Improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• Ensure service reliability, scalability, security and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product teams and external technology partners.

• Support the transition of the platform towards production and broader business adoption.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong professional experience in backend software development.

• Excellent programming skills in Python (mandatory).

• Experience with Java is an advantage.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.

• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.

• Experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable backend architectures.

• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, integration testing and code reviews.

• Experience with API integrations, data processing and cloud-based services.

• Understanding of application security, reliability and production environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to take ownership, work independently and contribute effectively within a small engineering team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with EV charging platforms and charging infrastructure.

• Knowledge of EV charging and roaming standards such as OCPI.

• Experience with vehicle telematics and connected vehicle technologies.

• Experience integrating systems across multiple organizations and external service providers.

• Familiarity with connected mobility ecosystems and digital vehicle services.

• Experience working with international teams and external technology partners.
